Biography
Five Survive is an alternative metal band from Sydney Australia, who have now been banging out riffs together for approximately 7 years, collectively crafting a unique brand of heavy music. A group of 5 life long mates who love to get lit, while getting creative in the jam space, and who pride themselves on delivering an intense live show experience that will not to be soon forgotten.
Not shying away from a convoy to a gig, Five Survive show's locations range from Sydney CDB at the Value Bar in the Agincourt Hotel to Newcastle at The Hamo to the Corrimal Hotel down in Wollongong. They'll play anywhere...anytime!
Five Survive has 3 releases on various streaming services. The maiden recording was a 6 track EP called Jon Doe. It was recorded across 2016 and released in 2017. It features songs written since the band's creation back in 2014. Jon Doe was recorded at Electric Sun Studio in Western Sydney.
After spending some time playing live shows, touring and writing new music, the boys headed back into the studio to record new music in late 2018. This saw a continuing evolution of the band, with the release of the single "Stonewall". It was recorded at Spinlight Studios in Glendale.
2020 brought upon the release of Five Survive's newest single "Precognition."
A fully collaborative band writing effort, it was born from a simple guitar riff catching everyone's ear. It then was immediately hammered out in the jam room and quickly morphed into what you hear today. The boys continue to push the envelope, challenging themselves and each other in terms of songwriting. Precognition was inspired by the determination of the human spirit and the journey through one's own perception.
2021 will see the release of new music and video from the boys in Five Survive so stayed tuned!! 🤘🤘🤘
